American Legion Post 160 House Rules

1.The following shall be admitted:

• • All members in good standing and member’s spouse/escort
  • Guests accompanied by post members in good standing and staff. Post members and staff are responsible for their guest’s conduct.
  • Unaccompanied guests are welcome except for events designated by the executive board.

2. Any Post Officer or staff present shall have the authority to enforce house rules and may request any member or guest to leave for misconduct or violation of house rules. Said member shall have the right to appeal to the executive board.

3. Any Post Officer or staff present may refuse service to anyone.

4. There shall be no alcohol taken from the premises or brought onto the premises at any time. No outside coolers permitted in the building or on the grounds.

5. No alcoholic drinks will be served to or consumed by minors under drinking age (21). The bartender will always ask for age identification if any doubt of age.

6. No pets allowed except for service animals.

7. Loud or profane language will not be tolerated.

8. No one under drinking age (21) will be allowed to sit at the bar or enter behind the bar area.

9. No minors (under the age of 18) allowed in the game room without responsible adult supervision as determined by Post Officer or staff present.

10. Any member, staff or guest removing, damaging or destroying property of the Legion shall pay for the damage.

11. 8:30 PM curfew for minors (under the age of 18) on the premises, except as approved by the executive board.

12. No personal firearms, weapons or hazardous material will be allowed on post property.

13. Any outside food brought into the Post must be store/bakery prepared having the original ingredient label affixed to the packaging. Only special occasion foods, e.g. cakes, cupcakes, cookies, ice cream are allowed. All outside food must be approved by a Post Officer or staff

14. No personal use of the post dumpster.

15. No clothing with obscene language, sexually explicit graphics or language, profane language, or with political symbols or partisan language that is divisive to the membership is permitted to be worn. The sole judgement of these factors shall be made by the Post Officers or the staff at their sole discretion.”

All members and guests are expected to communicate respectfully and avoid topics that could divide or alienate others. Any concerns or disputes regarding these guidelines will be addressed in a fair and respectful manner by designated leadership.
